The Governmental Decree on Providing Subsidies to the Post of Crimea Came into Force

Moscow, October 13, 2014. — The decree of the Government of the Russian Federation “On the rules of providing subsidies to the Federal State Unitary Enterprise the Post of Crimea”, developed by Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications came into force. Subsidies will be provided for automation of processes and supplying of transport means for the enterprise.

The decree, signed by Dmitry Medvedev, defines the order of providing subsidies to the FSUE Post of Crimea for financing activities aimed at providing high-quality and permanent postal services on the territory of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

The provided resources must be used till the end of 2014 for purchasing computer equipment and software, needed for automation of production processes, purchasing means of transport for providing postal services.

The Post of Crimea must ensure integration in the postal area of Russia, transferring to unified standards and rules in postal sector of peninsula. Currently the program of activities for the FSUE Post of Crimea for 2015 is being prepared.

“The goal of Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications is to ensure high-quality work of Post in Crimea and Sevastopol, also for delivering pensions and welfare benefits. This task is especially important due to the lack of developed banking system in Crimea,” said Mikhail Evraev, Deputy Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications.

The FSUE Post of Crimea was created according to the Government decree №648-р on April 21, 2014 for providing postal services on the territories of the Republic of Crimea and city of federal significance Sevastopol. The Post of Crimea works cooperatively with Russian Post according to the agreement on cooperation. Its structure encompasses 553 postal offices, located in Crimea and Sevastopol.
